Is Your Air Conditioning Not Working?
Check out this video for a five step guide on trouble shooting your HVAC system before you pick up the phone to call your air conditioning repairman.
Here is a brief overview of the five step trouble shooting guideline:
- Step 1 – Check the thermostat. Is it on? If your thermostat is a digital styled thermostat, are the batteries dead?
- Step 2 – Check the floor or ceiling registers to see if there is air coming out.
- Step 3 – Check the outside unit – is it blowing air? Is it iced up?
- Step 4 – Check the lines connecting the outside unit to the inside unit – are they iced up? Is there water around the inside unit?
- Step 5 – Is your system providing SOME cooling but not enough?
